Ninth Letter

Ninth Letter is a biannual literary and arts journal published by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This issue repurposed the magazine as a printed piece by asking readers to participate in a more involved relationship with the text. This was carried out by designing a series of images and "extras" that were removable from the magazine and used as physical objects to inform the text.
This issue was designed in collaboration with Huang Li, Lauren Ayers, Christine Jeng, Darren McPherson, Adam Muran, Nate Baltikas, Tanya Boonroueng, and art director, Jimmy Luu
This issue received a Red Dot Award in 2009.
